Experimenting with duplicating the capabilities of the human brain, Maria Martinez brought into existence something far more astonishing.  At the time of the device's creation she intended on developing a highly interactive machine that could handle human-level tasks.  Only her creation turned out to be more capable than even she could have ever imagined.
